More information

Garden set-up and weather conditions

There’s plenty of space on the College lawn and grounds for you to relax and catch-up with your colleagues on picnic blankets and tables. There will be some (but not many) outdoor covered areas to shelter and a large dining hall as a backup venue if the weather is not on our side.

Fitzwilliam College safety guidance The College has its own safety measures in place, please read the information on the webpage: https://www.fitz-events.com/covid-19-information

Parking

Sorry, there is no parking available at Fitzwilliam College. There is limited street car parking available along Storey's Way by the College entrance.

Parking on West Cambridge Site

Staff with existing parking permits are encouraged to use them. Those with permits for the West Cambridge site are encouraged to park at the rear of the Roger Needham Building (P1), or the William Gates Building car park (P2). Both car parks have barrier controls on entry and exit and you will need your University Card for access. (Map of car parks on the West Cambridge site.)

We have very limited parking available on a first-come first-served basis at the front of the Roger Needham Building. Further (free) parking is also available from the Council operated Park and Ride facility further down Madingley Road.

It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the College from the Roger Needham Building.
