Two Cultural Awareness Workshops
Target audience
- Post Docs, PhD and Mphil by Research students from the Department of Engineering
- School of Technology if places available after priority to eligible Engineering Students
- Further details regarding Engineering Language Unit's eligibility criteria are available
Topics covered
- Cultural awareness, both within and outwith the University environment
- Aspects of the British lifestyle, British culture and contemporary social issues
Aims
- To demonstrate the importance of intercultural awareness in a multicultural environment such as the University
- To focus on the British lifestyle, considering aspects of behaviour, manners, social conventions and traditions

Duration
Two session of one and a half hours
- It is recommended that both sessions are attended although attending just one of the two is possible by prior arrangement. Please e-mail smd48.
