Description
This is the second module of the CCNA series, should you wish to book on the series please book on Module 1 Introduction to Networks.
This course describes the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network. You will learn how to configure a router and a switch for basic functionality. By the end of this course, you will be able to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with RIPv1, RIPv2, single-area and multi-area OSPF, virtual LANs, and inter-VLAN routing in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
Target audience
- University IT Supporters are the target audience, although it is open to all current University members (departments and colleges)

This is the second of four modules in the CCNA course, you must complete and pass Module 1 Introduction to Networks before you are eligible to attend this course:

Presentations, demonstrations and practicals.
Taught using
- A combination of lab equipment, remote systems and simulation software will be used
Duration
One half day session per week for 14 weeks:
- Weeks 1 to 11 Instructor led training
- Week 12 Revision session
- Week 13 Theory exam
- Week 14 Practical exam
