A short (10 minute) briefing covering the biological and other hazards to watch out for when walking through the PoM or carrying out independent non-experimental work, such as maintenance, cleaning, repairs to equipment, giving first aid, taking items through to Maxwell and vice versa, OR accompanying others who need authorised access (e.g. contractors).
If you will be located at the PoM or doing experimental work, you should attend the full PoM Induction instead (see "Related Courses").
Staff, students, visitors and other personnel with a legitimate reason for having independent access to the PoM building. Note - contractors and temporary visitors should be accompanied by those who are briefed.
You must already have a Department of Physics access card.

By the end of the session, you should be able to spot biological and other hazards in PoM, immediately assess the related risks to yourself and others, and take action to deal with the risks.
To maintain the safety and health of all those who enter or use the Physics of Medicine building independently, and comply with legal requirements for risk management.
