Description
An intensive programme providing skills based training on capabilities and strategies for major gift fundraising within the University and Colleges.
The programme consists of four sessions over a five month period;
- Session 1 - Donor-Centred Philanthropy
- Session 2 - Optimising the In-Person Meeting
- Sessions 3 & 4 - Driving Meaningful Commitment
Target audience
- Staff with a confirmed place on the MGO Learning Series 2020 Programme
- This programme is intended for those who actively manage a fundraising portfolio and have been in a frontline fundraising role for a minimum of nine months, either in the University or a College.
- Participants need to make a commitment to be able to all sessions.
Prerequisites
- Participants' managers must have attended the Participant Manager Training

Aims
By the end of the programme participants will have increased knowledge of;
- Understanding donor perspectives; adapting donor profiles; securing a donor meeting
- Building trust-based relationships; optimising the in-person meeting; locating philanthropic passion
- Building effective engagement strategies; securing financial commitment; creating life-long donor strategies

- Three full day sessions and one half day session
