The different topics covered will have a scientific/engineering/cultural content related to France or the French speaking world (renewable and nuclear energy in France, the house of the future, etc.).
These will be complementaed by a general grammar revision, consolidation and extension of all the usual tenses and aspects used in contemporary and conversational French (present, tenses of the past, future, conditional, subjunctive, etc.).
There will also be some small group conversation on current issues and topics of a more general interest in order to use the language in real life situations.
Class work (online) and individual study. The course will consist of nine sessions of two hours, held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 16:00 to 18:00.
Students will be expected to familiarise themselves with the documents discussed in class (vocabulary, content, etc.) and complete some grammar exercises before and after each session. They will work mainly in groups after the activities have been presented by the teacher, with a common recap/discussion at the end of each activity.
